Parc ferme is rule system used in motor racing and rallying. The term is French and literally means "closed park".
When cars are in parc ferme, teams are not allowed to make modifications or repairs except those specifically allowed by the regulations.
In Formula 1, the cars are under parc ferme regulations from the moment they go out in the first session of Qualifying.
